Women Build “She Nailed It!” Saturday, August 22

Join us for Women Build with Habitat for Humanity of Archuleta County— an event designed to bring women together to build more than just homes.

Our goal for Women Build is threefold: Raise money to build the last 4 homes in our 15 homes in 5 year Campaign, empower women, and raise awareness of the need for affordable housing. You can be part of our effort by signing up to join us on the jobsite and help build these homes.

There are 2 opportunities to join us for Women Build. “Heels to Hammers” Friday, August 21 and “She Nailed It” Saturday, August 22. Each day is limited to 12 volunteers. Create your team today, let’s make an impact together. ****No experience is necessary, just a desire to help and to learn something new.

Women can participate as an individual or with a group of friends (only 24 slots available, max 12 per day). Gather friends and work side-by-side with future homeowners, offering a unique opportunity to highlight the ways Habitat for Humanity empowers women and builds stability in our community. You will work with our skilled construction staff to learn new skills, get some fresh air, exercise and, most importantly, to help provide workforce families in our community with a decent place to live.

If you can not join us on the jobsite you can still make a contribution to our fundraiser.

We can’t complete our mission without applicants like you to partner with us to build and buy the home at completion. The deadline to turn in an application to partner to build in 2027 is fast approaching, June 30, 2026. Don’t wait, Apply Now.

At Habitat Archuleta we partner to build with our local workforce. Single and family households earning 80% of Area Median Income or lower qualify for our program.

Our staff package USDA Direct loans that buyers can only obtain through a nonprofit organization. This orientation will review the terms of this mortgage financing, as well as an overview of the Habitat Archuleta deed restrictions and annual build calendar.

ENERGY EFFICIENT HOMES FOR LONG TERM AFFORDABILITY

All-electric solar-powered modular homes are selected to fit the family and the neighborhood. Habitat staff, sub-contractors and volunteers complete set and stitch.

Thanks to your enthusiasm, teamwork, and the incredibly generous community members who pledged donations, this plunge is helping fuel Habitat’s mission to build affordable homeownership right here at home.

Habitat for Humanity of Archuleta County Celebrates Successful Business Happy Hour

Habitat for Humanity of Archuleta County was proud to host a highly successful November 2025 Pagosa Springs Area Chamber Business Happy Hour, co-hosted with TBK Bank. The evening brought together community members, business leaders, volunteers, and supporters for a memorable celebration at a newly completed build site.

Guests enjoyed tours of the three homes built during the 2025 build season, seeing firsthand the impact of countless volunteer hours and the dedication of our partner families. The event marked a joyful milestone as three local families prepare to begin a new chapter in safe, affordable homes.

The evening featured delicious food, fun door prizes, and an enthusiastic crowd eager to share in the excitement of closing out the build season. The sense of community and accomplishment was felt throughout the night as attendees celebrated what can be achieved when neighbors come together to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

Habitat for Humanity of Archuleta County extends heartfelt thanks to TBK Bank, the Pagosa Springs Area Chamber, our volunteers, partner families, and all who joined us in making the evening—and the 2025 build season—a true success.
