There are multiple ways to donate to or support Habitat Archuleta.

Habitat Archuleta’s plan to build 15 homes in 5 Years assists our economy by providing homeownership opportunities to build and maintain our workforce. To encourage contributions to this project, taxpayers can receive a Colorado State Tax Credit for their donation.

Your donation of $250.00 or more receives a Colorado State Tax Credit of 25% for cash donations or 12.5% for in-kind donations of building materials and labor.

  • Donations must be made directly to Habitat Archuleta and must be valued at $250.00 or more.
  • Provide your EIN or the last 4 digits of your Social Security number when submitting your contribution.
  • Each Donor will receive a certificate from Habitat Archuleta by the end of each tax year that a donation was made.
  • See the example on the back of this sheet for submitting in-kind contributions with your invoice for the tax credit.

Care-A-Vanner Dinners

Sponsoring a CAV Dinner is a great way to get to know our organization! Prior to eating Habitat staff does a small presentation for the group about the project we’re working on that season.

You can sponsor independently, or as part of another community group. For example, we’ve had a bible study provide the whole potluck meal and join us for dinner that week.

Did you know by donating your vehicle to Habitat you can help build and repair affordable homes while also helping the environment?

Since launching the national vehicle donation program Cars for Homes in 2005, Habitat has accepted over 160,000 vehicles for reselling or recycling, raising funds for Habitat to partner with local families to build stability and security that a safe, affordable home allows.  

We make it fast and easy to donate a vehicle and you may qualify for a tax deduction. Your vehicle donations raised over $72 million in just the last five years!

Construction Materials

Archuleta County does not host a Habitat ReStore. However, we partner with Habitat of the San Luis Valley ReStore in Alamosa.  If you have items you’d like to donate, please contact the office and staff will get you in touch with our volunteer who manages pickups for donations. 

We are not able to accept mattresses, televisions, recliners, or blinds with string.
