Chris and Kelly Coleman with their kids Kylie and Conner are excited to partner with Habitat for Humanity on House #25.
This lovely family was selected because they fit so well into the Habitat criteria examining need, ability to pay, and willingness to partner.
In late 2014, Chris completed chemo and radiation treatments for cancer in his neck. Chris had been working in the restaurant industry, and the cancer treatments impacted him severely. He is currently cancer free! However, recovery is a long process.
Kelly, meanwhile, continues her employment in the restaurant industry while also taking classes through Ft. Lewis college to earn her teaching degree.
Kylie keeps them busy with the abundant energy of a precocious three-year-old and is a loving big sister to six-month-old Conner.
In spite of their busy lives and potential physical setbacks and time constraints, the Colemans are committed to helping build their house. They are required to complete 500 hours of sweat equity labor (200 from them plus 300 from friends and family). In addition to that, it takes many hands from community members to help build a Habitat house. Please consider volunteering some of your time this year to help build Chris, Kelly, Kylie, and Conner a safe, decent, affordable home.
